What’s more fun than climbing a dune? Sliding down one!

Name: Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park
State: UT

Comment: Walk along boardwalk to open dune area. Dunes are about 100 feet high and easy to walk along ridges. Color of sand is incredible.

Name: Great Sand Dunes National Park
State: CO
City/ Location: Near Mosca, CO

Comment: We climbed to the top of the highest dune, distance unknown, but it took an hour to get up and twenty minutes to get down. Hiking up sand is difficult, with every step up, you’re pulled down. The wind was incredibly strong. The closest to climbing Mount Everest we’ll ever get. Tough but rewarding hike.
